El Anatsui is nieuw voor mij maar de techniek
die hier gebruikt wordt spreekt me erg aan.

De boeken die ik dit jaar met Koninginnedag kocht
zijn een bron van onvoorspelbare inspiratie.
Vandaag de Amorphophalus Titanum of Titan Arum
zoals Sir David Attenborough hem noemde in 1995
in zijn serie x91Life of plantsx92
Deze tropische plant zoals hier afgebeeld op een foto gemaakt in Indonesie
is tegenwoordig te zien in grote botanische tuinen.
De bloem kan wel 2 tot 3 meter hoog worden.
Het blad dat na de bloeiperiode verschijnt kan wel 6 meter hoog worden.

Kunstvaria

Even weg geweest.
Ik ben te druk geweest de afgelopen weken.
Daardoor was er onvoldoende tijd om te werken aan Kunstvaria.
Het feit dat de weblog leverancier nogal eens performance problemen
heeft helpt natuurlijk ook niet.
Neemt niet weg dat dit weer een mooie serie is
met 20 werken waaronder tweemaal Richter
en nog een paar meer van Picasso.

al bij al veel kunst waar de afgelopen weken
veel mee aan de hand was.
Werden ze niet gestolen (Picasso)
dan werden ze wel beschreven (Rothko)
of ze bereikten de hoogste prijs ooit (Richter).

Los van al die ellende: Geniet!
